Donegal Chef Brian Mc Dermott is buzzing to get back to one of Ireland’s most popular kitchens on RTE’s Today Show.
Now in its 10th season, Ireland’s most watched afternoon show, Today Show started back last week. This Wednesday Chef Brian Mc Dermott, who has been a regular on every season since it started, will be cooking and chatting live on the show.
Brian is really excited about season 10, because of the new set, new presenters and new format. He said: “I am more excited about this season as cookery is a big feature of the new format with two live cooking slots and chats with other guests. Of course I secretly get excited about working with my good friend the brilliant Dáithí Ó Sé whose banter I always enjoy as we bounce off each other on air.”
Brian has become a regular face on the show and his style of cooking appeals to many with recipes that are achievable to replicate at home. This week, Brian will cook recipes that he believes eases us towards Autumnal flavours but tries to hold on to the last of summer foods.
“It’s like we will say goodbye to home grown tomatoes and hello to Irish apples and both recipes reflect this,” he hinted.
“I don’t know yet who the other guests are that are joining us on the show on Wednesday but whoever they are we will treat them, Maura & Daithi to some easy midweek recipes. I enjoy the banter as much as I enjoy the cooking on the show and I can’t wait.”
Brian will be live on Wednesday from 3.30pm on RTE 1
