The Dungloe GAA has opened their first ever all-Irish youth club.
This was the brain child of the cultural committee who were anxious to develop the Irish language within the club. And who better to start with than their younger members.
The club was set up with the help and support of Mary O’Brien Pleanail Teanga na Rosann and great support from local County Councillors.
Enda Bonner , chairman of the club wished all the committee the very best and expressed how proud he was of the committee and all the youth clubs members.
Caitriona Boyle said she was extremely proud to be standing in the club house launching a youth club through the medium of Irish. “The club have been extremely supportive and have welcomed all ideas. The are totally invested in our project and we hope to see a great improvement in the spoken Irish in our club over the next year.”
Eugene Mc Garvey, Cultural Officer, expressed how delighted he was to see such a large turnout to the youth club and thanked their parents for their support in developing the language within the club.
