HEALTH officials have confirmed 1,181 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland today.
There are 309 patients in Irish hospitals receiving treatment for the coronavirus.
Of those, 60 are in intensive care settings.
As of last Wednesday, 5,155 people in Ireland had died with Covid-19.
HSE figures show that there are 17 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital, one of whom is in intensive care.
