DECLAN Bonner has sought another term as the Donegal senior football team manager.
Bonner met virtually with the Donegal County Committee on Wednesday night.
Bonner confirmed to delegates that he intended to put his name forward for another term in the hot seat.
Bonner, who had a previous term in the role, was appointed as the Donegal manager after Rory Gallagher vacated the hot seat in 2017.
Bonner guided Donegal to Ulster SFC titles in 2018 and 2019, but lost the 2020 Ulster final to Cavan. This year, Donegal were beaten by Tyrone in an Ulster semi-final.
Bonner’s initial term was a three-year one with the option of a fourth year at the helm.
The position is now open for others to apply. Clubs in Donegal have until 5pmt this Sunday, August 2, to advise the County Executive about any candidate they wish to propose.
