The volunteer Lough Swilly RNLI recently received a generous donation from the Irish Federation of Sea Anglers (IFSA).
John McCarter, Lough Swilly, is pictured receiving a cheque for €250 from Angela Crerand, Rathmullan Charters, on behalf of the IFSA on the occasion of the National Junior Championships hosted on Lough Swilly last week.
“We thank the IFSA for their support and wish the event every success,” he said.
Lough Swilly is the only lifeboat station in Ireland to operate two lifeboats – one inshore lifeboat and one all-weather Tyne class lifeboat.
Situated in Buncrana, the lifeboats provide cover for a variety of commercial and leisure marine activities.
