Film star Bill Murray about to check out some of Donegal’s top golf courses during his summer holidays in Ireland.
The Oscar nominee is enjoying a family trip visiting Irish golf courses for The Links Life, a golf-travel documentary.
The new St Patrick’s Links course at Rosapenna, Portsalon, Narin and Portnoo are all on this list in the coming days.
Murry, best known for roles in Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, is already enjoying Irish hospitality and craic after visiting Wicklow on Tuesday and Mayo yesterday.
The keen golfer will co-star in The Links Life golf travel documentary series alongside author and presenter Tom Coyne. The show will air on YouTube and other major streaming platforms. Filming for the series is supported by Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
Tourism Ireland chief executive Niall Gibbons stated, “We are delighted to support the filming of The Links Life featuring Bill Murray. It is a really great way to showcase Ireland and some of our top golf courses. Our aim is to remind viewers that Ireland offers some of the very best golf in the world, as well as spectacular scenery and fantastic experiences. The episodes filmed here will help ensure that Ireland stays ‘top of mind’ among golfers in the US and elsewhere around the world.”
