Three Donegal businesses are in the running for national awards in this year’s Best of Ireland competition.
The contest, run by Ireland’s Eye magazine, celebrates the great businesses supporting local jobs and indirectly acting as heroes of their local economies.
Spread across ten categories, Best of Ireland will showcase the very best of home-grown Irish products and services.
Donegal names feature in three categories – Furniture, Fashion and Hospitality.
Mary Doherty, a Longford native living in Buncrana, is up for an award for her furniture restoration business MD Serendipity Designs. Mary also creates bespoke restyled pieces.

Teac Jack in Glassagh, Gaoth Dobhair is in the running for a Hospitality award. Teac Jack, situated in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht, is a pub/restaurant and B&B famous for its friendly welcome.
