One of Donegal’s most iconic festival weekends has been cancelled for the second year in a row over Covid concerns.
The Glenties Harvest Fair Festival was due to take place in September.
However, last night organisers took the painstaking decision to cancel the event again.
The fair, which has been going for more than 200 years, attracts thousands of people from across the county and further afield.
However, a spokesperson said “We have had to take the unfortunate steps in cancelling this year’s Harvest Fair Festival for a second year in a row.
“This is completely out of our hands, and one we held off as long as we could in coming to this decision. But we will be back, bigger and better next year.”
