Mica families turned out in large crowds for a 100% Redress demonstration in Buncrana today.
The gathering took place to keep the Mica issue to the fore and to highlight the urgency of the crisis.
Men, women and children of all ages took to the Main Street with signage at 2 o clock.

Meanwhile, meetings and talks are progressing at government level, representatives say.
Mica family representatives from Donegal met with the Department of Housing for the first time this morning. They were joined by John O’Connor, the chief executive officer of the Housing Agency, to discuss learning from the Pyrite Scheme and how to enhance the existing Defective Blocks Scheme.
Mica Action Group PRO Eileen Doherty said: “This was a very positive and constructive meeting and we plan 2 meetings a week from next week to discuss and try to find ways and bring in expertise as is needed to assist us.”
The Department of Housing meeting was attended by Michael Carr (Business Consultant and Project Manager) and next week the group hopes to hear from representatives from Engineers Ireland.
Family representatives say they have been very busy since the working group meetings concluded last week. They met with Joe McHugh TD (Donegal) and Dara Calleary TD (Mayo). Ms Doherty said the meeting explored concerns and the pace of the discussions with the existing working group.
Ms Doherty told homeowners in an update today: “It is important for you all to know that we are still working away in the background and to know that there is a lot of very important and critical work going on in August. I truly feel this will put us in a much better place and enables us to be much more informed as we go into September for the final phase of discussions.”
