Sightings of jellyfish are becoming more commonplace on Donegal beaches.
However, this incredible footage of a jellyfish bloom was recorded by a snorkeler on Rossnowlagh Beach last week.
The man who filmed it, Conor Bradley, described the magical experience on his Facebook page.
“Just thought I’d share an incredibly rare experience I had last week, swimming amongst one of the biggest jellyfish blooms I’ve ever come across in Rossnowlagh Beach, Donegal,” he said.
“I was going for a snorkel when I unexpectedly came across thousands of giant stinging compass jellyfish, some with tentacles up to 5m long! A little intimidating, but I had my wetsuit and felt it would be a wasted opportunity if I left. Incredible.”
