Production – General Machine Operative
Location: Consumer Foods, Killygordon, Donegal.
Permanent Contract
Aurivo is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, garden centres, livestock marketing as well as sports nutrition It employs over 600 people directly and provides jobs for many others in transport, distribution and services.
Job Overview:
Reporting to a Production Supervisor in Consumer Foods, the successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit team to ensure effective operation of production equipment to meet quality, safe practices and site hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up the carton machine to start a production cycle
- Set the machine up for CIP and manual cleaning of the machine
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene/housekeeping and adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedure for machine operation
- Accurate completion of all necessary records and documentation
- Assist with other duties in the plant if required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Tetra pack machine experience desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively and with flexibility in a team environment
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Energetic with a positive work attitude
- Available to work longer hours and shift work if required
