The planned extension to Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair has gained approval to move to construction phase, it has been confirmed.
The project includes an extension to provide a new SEN and general classrooms facilities and alterations and refurbishment to the existing school area together with associated external works.
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal T.D., Charlie McConalogue, confirmed the progress from the Department of Education this evening.
The Minister commented “this is great news for Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, for the staff, parents and students and for all the Gaoth Dobhair community and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the community.”
“I thank my Cabinet colleague Minister Norma Foley for considering this project, the staff, parents and students of the school, my Government colleagues Deputy Joe McHugh and Senator Niall Blaney and local councillors including Noreen McGarvey for their work in advocating for the school” concluded the Minister.
