THERE have been 448 new cases of Covid-19 in Ireland today.
Irish health officials have also confirmed that the country’s death toll from the coronavirus has now passed 5,000.
There are 44 Covid-19 patients in hospital, 14 of whom are in intensive care.
There have been 12 admissions with Covid-19 in the last day.
Earlier today, no further deaths and 336 new cases were announced in Northern Ireland. The North’s death toll since the outbreak remains at 2,155. There have now been 127,448 positive cases in the region.
