MARK Russell has left Finn Harps and signed for Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship.

Russell was in his third season at Harps, but has had limited game time and has returned to Morton.

The 25-year-old was not in the Harps squad for Friday’s derby against Derry City and was absent last night for the defeat by St Patrick’s Athletic.

Morton have confirmed that Russell has returned to the club, signing a one-year contract.

In the 2014/15 season, Russell was named in the League One team of the Season.

Russell is a product of Morton’s academy and also spent a brief time at Falkirk before moving to Harps in 2019.
