Staff and pupils of Scoil Naomh Fiachra, Illistrin were in a bright and colourful mood today as they celebrated the opening of their new outdoor classroom – Rainbow Park.
Kalize McGuigan, a 2nd class pupil in the school, had the honour of cutting the ribbon in front of her classmates.
On visiting the outdoor classroom a few weeks ago Kalize was really struck by all the bright colours and she came up with the new name for the outdoor classroom: “Rainbow Park”.
School caretaker, Anthony, put a lot of work into Rainbow Park. The pupils are delighted and Anthony is now more popular than ever!
Pupils will enjoy lots of fun, exercise and picnics in Rainbow Park for years to come.
