St Johnston beaten by Ardmore’s well-timed reply

DAVID Lapsley posted 77 runs for St Johnston on Saturday, but the Donegal side lost out to Ardmore.In the Longs SuperValu League Group A, Ardmore managed to win by five wickets with only 10 balls to spare.

St Johnston reached 213 for the loss of six wickets in their stay at the Bleachgreen wicket.

Michael Ranking’s 30 and 29 by Scott Macbeth aided the Saints.

Lapsley’s tally included seven fours and five sixes.

In reply, Ardmore openers Rachit Gaur (54) and Conor King (73) laid down a marker.

An unbeaten 26 from Ryan Brolly and 31 by Dharam Singh helped Ardmore to win with an over to spare.
