A BATTERY operated go kart worth around €300 has been donated to a charity by a Judge.
The Razor Crazy Cart came into Garda possession last October and has not been reclaimed.
The cart was forfeited to the State at Letterkenny District Court this week,
On hearing that the cart was worth an estimated €300, Judge Alan Mitchell said it should go to the Letterkenny branch of St Vincent De Paul.
“Unless you have any use for it in Templemore for training,” Judge Mitchell said to Sergeant Gerard Dalton.
The Court was told that on October 3, 2020, Sergeant Muldoon was on patrol in the Churchill area when he came across a group of youths playing with the Razor Crazy Cart on a public road with no lighting.
Sgt Muldoon took possession of the cart after the youths ‘ran for the fields’.
