A MAN has been charged with raping a woman at a licensed premises in County Donegal.
The 27-year-old man was brought before Letterkenny District Court.
Gardaí gave evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of the man.
The accused is charged with the rape of a woman at a licensed premises in Donegal on a date in 2016.
The court heard that he made no reply to the charge.
The man cannot be named for legal reasons in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim in the case.
The accused, who is represented by solicitor Mr Frank Dorrian, did not speak during the brief hearing.
The man was released on his own bail of €300.
He is to be of good behaviour, reside at an address given to Gardaí and notify the Gardaí of any change of address. He is to have no contact, directly or indirectly, with any witnesses in the case.
Judge Alan Mitchell adjourned the case September to allow for the preparation of a book of evidence.
