The Raphoe woman came from behind to defeat Anna Bygum from Denmark.
Darragh lost the first game 19-21, but hit back to claim the next two 21-16 21-18.
The match lasted 57 minutes, but it was Darragh, the competition’s fourth seed, who progressed.
Darragh will now face Mariia Golubeva in the quarter-finals.
Yesterday evening, Darragh claimed an impressive 21-7 21-8 win over Estonia’s Elisaveta Berik.
