There are six patients with Covid-19 receiving treatment at Letterkenny University Hospital, it has been confirmed.
Eight of Ireland’s adult hospitals have no Covid-19 inpatients today, including Sligo.
The three Dublin children’s hospitals in Temple Street, Crumlin and Tallaght are also without Covid inpatients.
Health Service Executive CEO Paul Reid tweeted that the decline in patient numbers is “Great relief for patients, public & staff.”
The average number of Covid-19 cases in Donegal has declined in recent days, however the county continues to have Ireland’s second highest incidence rate of Covid-19.
The 5 day moving average of cases in Donegal is down from 23 to 18 in two days.
There were 275 new cases confirmed in Donegal between 27th May – 9th June, which is a 14-day incidence rate of 172.7 per 100,000.
