The Milford Health Centre, located in Milford, Co. Donegal, is the central premises for the Mulroy Practice and Rathford Medical Practice.
The Health Centre houses two GP Practices, Public Health clinics and Primary Care services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time qualified Phlebotomist to provide services to patients of both GP Practices.
JOB TITLE : Basic Grade Part-time Phlebotomist
REPORTING TO: Mulroy and Rathford GPs
START DATE: Ideally mid to late June but can be flexible for the right candidate
HOURS: Part-time sessional work with some flexibility.
LOCATION: Primarily within the Milford Health Centre with scope for sessions in satellite practices in Kilmacrennan and Rathmullan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Working as part of the clinical team alongside GPs and 2 Practice Nurses, the role will deliver Phlebotomy services to patients of both practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Min 1 year experience in a similar role essential, training will be provided for our patient management system, Health One. Experience within GP practice is desirable but not essential.
QUALITIES: Organised individual with attention to detail. Clinical and administrative capacity to fulfil the functions of the role as required by laboratory standards of documentation.
Good communication skills both with patients and other team members to facilitate the smooth flow of information.
Caring and understanding disposition will be required.
Ability to be flexible and work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment.
