THE Department of Health has confirmed 271 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in ireland.
There remain no county-by-county figures due to the recent ransomware attack on the HSE systems.
The HSE say there are 77 patients in Ireland’s hospitals receiving treatment for Covid-19 with 27 of those in intensive care.
The Department say that daily case numbers may change due to future data review, validation and update, owing to the attack.
Earlier today, no further Covid-19 related deaths and 81 new cases were reported in Northern Ireland.
In the last seven days, there have been 546 new infections in the region while the North’s death toll remains at 2,154.
