The Central Hotel Donegal Town celebrated the opening of a thoroughly relaxing dining experience this evening – Central Alfresco.
Idyllic views, quality food and all the comforts you need for outdoors are provided at this terrace setting.
Providing unquestionably the best and most peaceful vantage point of Donegal Bay, Central Alfresco is the idyllic spot to enjoy sublime food, cocktails, wine and beer watching the tide slip away.

Choose from favourite main dishes or terrace tasters which have been carefully selected to tantalise the palette. A thoughtful beverage menu has been worked to couple their consistently great food.
Alfresco is suited to Irish summer weather too, with heated lamps and sheltered alcoves should rain make an appearance.
With Donegal being the ‘Coolest Place’ to be this summer, Alfresco has been designed to be a chilled out food and drink experience for all.

The hotel has teamed up with Kinnegar Brewery and Sliabh Liag Distillers to offer local beer and Silkie Whiskey. Local partnerships extend to the design of Alfresco too – the modern lighting comes from Lights & Shades Donegal Town, the furniture was sourced from Donegal Hardware and there are plenty of Magee of Donegal tweed blankets to wrap around you as evenings get cooler.
Central Alfresco is open 12.30pm to 9.30pm each evening. Bookings are not essential but may be advisable as we know this is the place to be this summer.
