A new social housing development at Oran Hill Letterkenny as been given the go ahead by Donegal County Council.
Thirty-four new housing units will be built in the scheme on the Kilmacrennan Road. The units include 30 apartments and four 3-bedroom homes.
The scheme is set to provide high-quality and sustainable homes under the government’s Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan.
A public consultation process resulted in 13 submissions and observations being made to Donegal County Council. Concerns were raised about the boundary wall, road safety, the density of the proposed development and anti-social behaviour in the local area. Each point was “fully evaluated with regard the proper planning and sustainable development of the area,” the council said.
