Letterkenny photographer Fergal Megannety is bringing his bee-rilliant beehive to a TV competition tomorrow.
Fergal will appear on RTE’s The Big DIY Challenge on RTE One, Thursday 3rd June at 8.30pm.
The show meets DIY-ers who developed fascinating projects during lockdown.
Fergal was as busy as a bee, building a beehive shaped like a Russian dacha countryhouse in honour of his wife Svetlana.

Fergal, who is PRO of the Three Rivers Beekeepers Association, said he is delighted to make it this far in the competition.
“We have now introduced bees to their new home and they appear to be happy,” Fergal tells Donegal Daily.
Fergal’s beehive is one of eleven projects to be featured on the The Big DIY Challenge this week. The competition has a whopping €10,000 prize on offer for whoever is crowned Ireland’s Best DIY-er.
