Killybegs Coast Guard volunteers were joined today by their colleagues from around the county and beyond for a major joint training course in search skills.
The other volunteer units were Tory Island, Bunbeg, Greencastle and Cleggan, County Galway.
This is a core course for all The Irish Coast Guard (IRCG) members and it involves both day and night time exercises.
“We will be conducting this course in the local area of Killybegs so don’t be alarmed when you see a large number of vehicles and personnel,” a spokesperson for Killybegs CG said.
“Enjoy the weekend and the weather folks and, as always, if you see anyone that may be in distress on or around the coast, please dial 112/999 and ask for The Irish Coast Guard.”
