Donegal County Council has confirmed that €60,000 has been allocated for accident remedial works in the Twin Towns area.

Councillors in the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District (MD) were told that the money is to be equally divided between two projects. One is at the McFeely’s Brae/Navenny junction in Ballybofey and the other is McCreary’s Lane.

Pedestrian bridges

Meanwhile, designs are at an advanced stage for two new pedestrian bridges in Ballybofey and at Crossroads, Killygordon.

Council engineers expected to go to the planning stage soon for the  Sessiaghoneill Footbridge, while designs are ‘progressing’ for the new pedestrian walkway at Milltown Bridge, Crossroads.
