Donegal folk at home and abroad braved the rain (and the sunshine!) to take part in this morning Darkness Into Light event for Pieta House.
From Stranorlar to Sydney, people from Donegal remembered those struggling with their mental health.
It may have been wet and cold at home but that didn’t stop thousands from taking to our streets to their bit.
Councillor Liam Doherty was up and about in Convoy.
Friends Stephanie Laird, Lorna Goudie and Teresa Duffy set their alarm clocks and undertook the Darkness into Light walk at Beltony Stone Circle in Raphoe.
Martin, Shiela, Chloe and Alexandra O’Donnell left son and brother Seamus in bed as they walked from Tullygay into Letterkenny.
Seán, Bernie, Arlene and Helena Crossan along with pals Annmarie and Norajane McDevitt were spotted at the Polestar in Letterkenny.
But perhaps the most spectacular setting was Bondi Beach in Australia where Erin Coyle from Creeslough and Katie Friel from Dunfanaghy had to “endure” a horrific time walking on all that golden sand and sunshine!
Wherever in the world you are we thank you for thinking of others who are struggling at this time.
And if you were out and about, send us your pictures to info@donegaldaily.com and we’ll publish them.
