McGinty nets winner as Swifts advance in Irish Cup

SHANE McGinty struck the winner last night as Dungannon Swifts beat Glenavon in the Irish Cup last night.

Manager Dean Shiels yesterday confirmed Letterkenny man Anthony Gorman as his new assistant manager.

And the struggling Swifts maintained the positive news as they came from behind to dump Glenavon out of the Cup.

Danny Purkis fired Glenavon in front only for Ryan Mayse to level things up.

With the tie finely poised, McGinty stepped up with a superb effort midway through the second half.
