GARDAÍ say they are following ‘a definite line of enquiry’ after a man was stabbed in Stranorlar on Saturday evening.
Gardaí responded to an incident on the forecourt of a garage in Stranorlar shortly after 8pm.
A man in his 50s was discovered at the scene with a knife wound and bruising to his face and was treated by paramedics.
Gardaí confirmed to Donegal Daily that a man in his 30s was arrested nearby under the Public Order Act.
A spokesperson from the Garda Press Office said: “Enquires in to the incident are ongoing. Gardaí are however following a definite line of enquiry.”
