Nine Covid-19 patients at LUH as hospital remains close-to-capacity

THERE are nine patients at Letterkenny University Hospital receiving treatment for Covid-19.

The number reflects a fall from the weekend when, on Sunday evening, there were 11 Covid-19 patients at the facility.

Two of the Covid-19 patients are receiving critical care.

As of 8pm yesterday, that figure was down to nine with 172 Covid-19 patients in hospitals nationwide.

There is also one suspected Covid-19 case at LUH.

The hospitals continues to operate close to capacity with just one general bed and one critical care bed available, according to figures released by the HSE.
