Councillors are to meet with representatives of the council and Donegal East Tourism to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cllr Patrick McGowan sought the meeting in order to discuss and agree a plan on how to develop and support tourism and relevant businesses following the present lockdown.
Cllr McGowan has also asked that Donegal County Council Director, Mr Garry Martin, and Ms Annemarie Conlon, of the Economic Development Division, attend.
In response, Ms Conlong said her division is happy to attend a meeting with elected members of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District (MD) and the Donegal East Tourism committee to: “Explore opportunities to support the development of tourism in the Lifford-Stranorlar MD and support businesses affected by Covid 19 restrictions.”
