There is shock and sadness in Cranford and across Donegal this weekend following the sudden passing of popular young man, Liam Doherty.
Liam passed away on Friday at the age of 19.
The beloved son of Adele and Liam Doherty, news of his untimely death has been met with immense sadness across communities in Donegal, Glasgow, Australia and Jersey.
Countless tributes have poured in for the former Mulroy College student, who is being remembered as a talented musician, a proud Liverpool and Celtic supporter, and a young gentleman who spread happiness wherever he went.
“Mulroy College is deeply saddened at the sudden death of our past pupil, Liam Doherty. Liam’s warmth of character, kindness and good humour will always be remembered,” said a tribute from his former school.

The Cranford community and Mulroy school community are set to express their condolences to the Doherty family in a virtual way tonight.
Families will ‘Light Up for Liam’ by lighting candles in their homes at 9pm this Saturday and sharing photos online in support of the Doherty family at this heartbreaking time.
