Enjoy your Easter weather while it lasts because it’s set to crack in Donegal on Sunday.
That’s the message from Met Eireann as Donegal enjoys some beautiful early April sunshine.
The good news is that the sunshine will remain with us today and tomorrow (Sat).
However, showers will roll in on Sunday and it is to turn cloudier and decidedly colder.
Here is the Met Eireann forecast:
Saturday will continue dry with good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees with mostly light east to northeast breezes.
A dry and settled start to the Easter weekend but turning unsettled and much colder from Easter Sunday night onwards.
Saturday night will be dry with clear spells, and some patches of mist and fog. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees.
Easter Sunday will be dry over much of the country with the best of the sunshine in the south. It will be cloudier further north.
Light rain or drizzle will develop in the northwest during the afternoon and spread southwards through the evening.
