Logan Waste has been granted planning permission for an extension to its existing facility in Newtowncunningham.
The works, at Castleforward Demesne, include the construction of a new office as well as recycling storage bays.
One objection to the application was lodged by Jim Ferry, who stated that the proposed development was in a residential area and that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was required.
However, council planners dismissed the objection, stating that the proposed works were not substantial and were part of an existing development.
