Specsavers Letterkenny is open, caring for your sight and hearing during Level 5 with all the necessary precautions in place to keep you safe.
The team has made some very important changes as they do all they can to make sure your next visit is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Visiting the Store
You can book your appointment as normal and staff will give you a call back to make sure you’re getting the right help, whether that’s coming in store or talking to experts by video or over the phone with RemoteCare. This service is free to use and you don’t need to be a Specsavers customer to use it.
Social-Distancing
Specsavers have also made some changes to their normal practices and store layout. The Letterkenny branch has a new entrance and spacious waiting area for social distancing. There is plenty of hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities for customers and staff alike. The number of people in store will be limited and staff are kindly asking that customers keep at least two metres apart to keep each other safe.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Following government guidelines, the store team will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for their protection as well as customers.
As a health care provider, Specsavers always strive to deliver the highest clinical and hygiene standards, including regular handwashing and cleaning equipment between customers. Further measures are now in place to try and combat the spread of the virus during essential appointments.
Optical coherence tomography scan (OCT)
For eyecare, opticians are carrying out hospital grade OCT scans, which take just a few seconds to check your eye health.
OCT scans look deeper into the back of the eye and the structures within it to help detect sight-threatening eye conditions earlier, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Finding your perfect frames
Our staff will assist you with your frame choice using top of the range Frame Styler technology and years of expertise and after you’re done we’ll ask you to give them back to us so we can fully sanitise and clean them.
RemoteCare
Hearing services at Specsavers are available by appointment, while the new RemoteCare service enables you to speak to the audiologist by video or over the phone about any hearing questions you have. These free one to one consultations talk place through a secure app, allowing the audiologist to instantly fine-tune your hearing aids while you stay at home.

Payment
If possible, please pay by card or electronic payment instead. Where that’s not necessary or possible, no problem, there will be plenty of hand sanitiser around to use afterwards.
