A DONEGAL doctor says that those in the county who can get the Covid-19 vaccine in Northern Ireland should do so.
The HSE this week informed a number of surgeries that a delay means they will not be receiving any more vaccines until the end of March.
The Millbrae Surgery in Carndonagh was among those affected and locals have been left frustrated.
“Derry is 20 minutes south of us – some of our patients are actually entitled to the vaccine in the North,” Dr Seamus Kelly told Newstalk.
“We’ve encouraged them to do that. In Derry, patients over the age of 50 with underlying health conditions are getting vaccinated at present.
“The important thing is that patients get vaccinated – whether it’s in Derry or in the Republic, as long as they get vaccinated.”
