A man’s body has been recovered from the water off the coast of West Donegal.
A major search operation was launched this morning following the discovery of a car which entered the water off Bunbeg Pier. Malin Head Coast Guard co-ordinated the search, which involved gardaí, the Rescue 118 helicopter and local coast guard.
It has now been confirmed that a man’s body was recovered from the car.
Gardaí are liaising with family at this time.
Investigations are ongoing.
