GARDAÍ are investigating a spate of burglaries in Letterkenny.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning and Thursday morning last, January 20 and 21, a number of premises were targeted.
Between 4-4.15am on the morning of January 20, a glass door of a delicatessen premises at Pearse Road, Letterkenny was smashed. Entry was gained and a till drawer, which contained a large sum of cash, was taken.
A charity box was also taken by the intruders.
Two males were captured on CCTV by Gardaí.
One male, described as being heavy-set, was wearing a grey hoodie, grey bottoms, black gloves and a face mask.
The other male was waring a black tracksuit top, black bottoms and also wore black gloves and a face mask.
The two males made off in the direction of Oliver Plunkett Road.
At around 4am on January 21, the front door of a takeaway premises on the Port Road was smashed and a sum of cash stole.
A male was spotted on CCTV regarding this incident. The man was wearing light-coloured grey hoodie, black trainers and camouflage-style trousers with a light stip on the outer legs.
Between 3.30-4.30am on January 21, a barber shop on the Port Road was targeted. Entry was gained to the premises. A cash box was tampered with, but was empty at the time.
At around 5am on January 21, the front window of an office building on High Road was smashed. No entry was gained and Gardaí believe this was also an attempted burglary.
Gardaí have not ruled out these incident being linked.
