The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team has issued a warning to the local public not to attempt to undertake any dangerous walks during the current restrictions.
The group has reassured people that they are on 24/7 stand-by in the event of an emergency.
However, they have appealed to people only to undertake familiar and low-risk routes.
They have also appealed to people to adhere to the current travel restrictions and to be aware of changing weather conditions as well as shorter daylights hours at this time of year.
“Consider your own experience, skills and equipment when deciding whether to venture into the hills in winter conditions,” said a DMRT spokesperson.
