A FURTHER 13 people have died in Norther Ireland after contracting Covid-19.
The latest figures from the North’s Department of Health take the region’s death toll from the coronavirus to 1,397.
Nine of the deaths occurred in the last 24 hours.
Another 1,985 new cases of the virus were reported today in the North, where there have now been 83,236 cases since the outbreak.
Northern Ireland’s hospitals are at 102 per cent capacity with 592 Covid-19 patients in hospitals there, 44 of whom are in intensive care.
