TIMES have been tough, but recent delays and inaction have injected a new feeling into the jersey for the Donegal minors.
Luke Barrett’s boys finally get the 2020 Ulster minor championship underway on Sunday when they face Tyrone at Sean Mac Cumhaill Park (1pm).
It has been difficult to prepare, but Barrett is in good spirits ahead of the showdown.
“We felt that we had a good bit of work done and they were well prepared,” he told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We hadn’t seem them at all for six weeks. The nature of the time of year, boys aren’t as fit as they would be.
“It’s not easy but there is a good buzz and they are delighted to get the chance to represent Donegal.
“The development in the young fellas in the time since is unbelievable. They have grown from boys to men in that time.”
