Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue has welcomed the announcement of €35,000 in funding for Donegal.
The funding is provided under the Mobility and Cancer Care Transport Measure of the CLÁR programme.
Minister McConalogue commented, “The Donegal branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association is among 26 successful applicants which will get a share of the total funding package of €1.3 million for essential transport services for people with mobility issues.
“The Irish Wheelchair Association provides a fantastic community service, and the funding will go towards purchasing a vehicle to provide essential transport services for wheelchair users in Co Donegal.
“I would like to express my gratitude and acknowledge the huge contribution the Irish Wheelchair Association makes to the local community.”
