THERE are now 29 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital being treated for Covid-19.

The number has fallen in recent days, although LUH still has the second highest number of patients of any hospital in the country, behind Kilkenny, where there are 31 patients with Covid-19.

At LUH, there is also one suspected case of Covid-19.

The latest figures from the HSE show that there were 233 patients with Covid-19 in the country’s hospitals as of 8pm on Saturday.

There was one critical care and 23 general beds vacant at LUH.

One of the patients at LUH is in the intensive care unit, while a suspected Covid-19 case is also in ICU.
