ANOTHER 17 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Donegal this evening.
Nationally, one further Covid-19 related death was reported to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and 306 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed.
Donegal’s 14 day incidence rate per 100,000 population remains the highest in the country at 223.6 with there having been 356 new cases detected in the last two weeks.
Since the outbreak, there have been 2,964 cases in the county.
Of the cases notified today: 156 are men and 148 are women; 67 per cent are under 45 years of age; the median age is 35 years old.
There are 108 of the cases in Dublin, with 30 in Limerick, 22 in Galway, 17 in Donegal, 15 in Wicklow, 14 in Cork and the remaining 100 cases are spread across 18 other counties
As of 2pm today, 244 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU. There have been 3 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
Forty-three patients with Covid-19 are being treated at Letterkenny University Hospital, according to the latest HSE report.
LUH continues to have Ireland’s highest number of Covid-19 patients, while one patient is reported as critical.
The latest data from the hospital, recorded at 8pm last night, shows there were two critical care beds remaining and 13 general care beds available onsite.
