There is widespread sadness following the death of popular West Donegal woman Margaret (Maggie) Gallagher of Dunlewey, Gaoth Dobhair.
Maggie, who was originally from An Ard Mhin in Crolly, passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital.
She led a full and happy life and was a huge member of her local community for many years from where she will be deeply missed.
She lived at the foot of Errigal mountain and will be remembered by many from her work as a tour guide at Glenveagh National Park for many years.
Maggie was also a member of the board of management at Scoil Naisiunta, Dobhar and also Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair.
She also served a term as a member of Comhairle Raidio na Gaeltachta.
Maggie will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Mary & Angela, sons Maurice, Brian, Paul, Dermot & Stephen, sisters Annie & Madgie, grandchildren & extended family.
Her remains will leave Letterkenny this afternoon(Friday) at 2pm to her late residence in Dunlewey. Funeral mass in Sacred Heart Church Dunlewey tomorrow (Sat Nov 28th) at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Due to government and HSE guidelines, wake and funeral are strictly private to immediate family only.
