A BENCH warrant has been issued for a county Derry man charged with a public order offence in Letterkenny.
Oisin McNicholl, a 23-year-old from Dugiven, failed to appear this week at Letterkenny District Court.
McNicholl was charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and a breach of the peace at Main Street, Letterkenny, on July 13, 2019.
Sergeant Gerard Dalton sapid that Gardai were on patrol at 3am when they observed McNicholl arguing with door staff at a nightclub.
“He was roaring, shouting and cursing at the door staff,” Sgt Dalton said.
A large amount of people were in the area at the time.
Gardaí directed him to desist and leave the area but the abuse continued and he was arrested. The accused made no reply when cautioned.
