RACHAEL Darragh booked a place in the last 16 at the Portuguese International this morning.
The Raphoe woman was a 21-17 21-12 winner over Potugal’s Sofia Setim in her opening game.
Darragh will now face Indira Dickhaeuser from Switzerland in her round of 16 game this evening.
Darragh is also set to team up with Sara Boyle for a women’s doubles clash with Portugal pairing Catarina Cristina and Catarina M Martins.
The 55 Portuguese International Championships are taking place in the High Performance Center Caldas da Rainha.
