Covid-19: Eight deaths, 595 new cases in Northern Ireland

ANOTHER eight Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland today.

The latest figures bring the death toll in Northern Ireland to 760.

A further 595 new cases of the coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours in the region.

There have now been 41,969 positive cases with 4,160 in the last seven days.

All eight deaths occurred within the past day.

At the moment there are 407 Covid-19 patients in Northern Ireland hospitals, 49 of whom are in intensive care.
