MARK Coyle says Finn Harps won’t be losing the run of themselves in spite of a good spell of form.
Harps have lost just once in their last nine outings and, with two home games to go, Ollie Horgan’s side have a chance to avoid even the play-off spot.
“We never really give up,” Coyle (pictured by Joe Boland, North West Newspix)told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub after Wednesday’s 3-2 win over St Patrick’s Athletic at Finn Park.
“People wrote us off, but we have everything to play for and hopefully we can push on from here.
“We’ll take it one game at a time and we won’t lose the run of ourselves anyway – Ollie definitely won’t allow that. There is a lot of football to be played yet.”
On Wednesday, Harps looked to have fluffed a 2-0 lead as Pat’s hit back to level, but Ryan Connolly’s penalty secured a precious win on a difficult night.
Coyle said: “We played the conditions well. The pitch wasn’t in great shape, but we know that ourselves and we’re well used to it. We were very direct and the boys up top did well.”
